Jeans Recycling

Schon Jahre lang hab ich alte Jeans aufgehoben. Mir gefällt Jeansstoff sehr gut, er ist stabil und chic. Aus ein paar Hosentaschen hab ich mir eine neue Projekttasche gemacht. Ich mag Projekttaschen. Man kann ein Projekt rein packen und hat dann alles griffbereit. Im Sommer handarbeite ich gern im Garten, und so habe ich immer alles startklar. Dann hab ich es nochmal eine Nummer größer probiert und dann auch noch ganz groß fürs Shoppen.
I have been collecting old jeans for years. I like jeans, it is nice and sturdy. I took some jeans pockets and turned them into a new project bag. I like project bags. You can store a project inside and you can always take it wherever you go. I like to do my crafts in the garden in summer time, and this time I have everything ready to go. Then I made one a little bit bigger and one more very big, for the next shopping tour.

Lust auf Eis?

Tilda näht Eis am Stil Nadelkissen, das ist ein Projekt das ich auch unbedingt machen wollte.
Tilda sews fudgesicle icecream pincushions, thats a project I couldn´t resist.

Passend zu dem genähten Eis gibt es heute von mir auch ein Rezept für leckeres Nut...Eis, das ganz einfach geht und sehr gut schmeckt.
And if you want to make your own fudgesicles you can try this recepie, it is easy and delicious.

350 ml Schokoladenmilch     1 1/2 cups of chocolate milk
120 ml Nuss-Nougat-Creme                      1/2 cup of Nutella

Die beiden Zutaten werden gut miteinander vermischt bis die Nuss Nugat Creme gut verrührt ist. Dies wird mindestens 2 Stunden eingefroren. Fertig!
Mix both ingredients well, and then freeze for at least two hours. Done!

das sieht nicht nur gut aus, das ist es auch!

Ein Tag in Karlsruhe Teil 2

Heute zeig ich euch wie versprochen den Stand von Gabi und dem Quiltshop Kaleidoskop. Dort hat mir einfach alles gefallen. Schöne Stoffe, super Quilts, tolle Anleitungen und das ganze Ambiente war ganz nach  meinem Geschmack. Kommt einfach mit und seht es euch selbst an.
Today I will show you Gabis booth, the Quiltshop Kaleidoskop. I liked everything about it. They had nice fabrics, beautiful quilts, good patterns and I liked the atmosphere there a lot. Come with me and have a look.

Ein Tag in Karlsruhe Teil 1

Ich war mit meiner Freundin Claudia auch dieses Jahr wieder auf der Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe. Es hat uns wieder super gut gefallen. Ich hab alte Bekannte (Anneliese, Martina und Annerose) wieder getroffen und ein paar Neue persönlich kennengelernt. Heute möchte ich euch allen Sue Daley vorstellen. Sie war am Stand von The Quilters Palette und hat Ihre Art von "Nähen auf Papier" vorgestellt. In der Ausstellung konnte man einige ihrer wunderschönen Quilts bewundern, sie haben mich sehr beeindruckt. Ich mag die Farben die sie verwendet sowie auch Ihre Muster. Ihre Quilts sind alle komplett von Hand genäht!
I went to the Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe once again with my friend Claudia. We both hat a lot of fun there. I met a few old friends (Anneliese, Martina and Annerose) and I made some new ones. Today I want to introduce Sue Daley to you. She was at the booth of The Quilter Palette and showed her way of "sewing on paper". We could see some of her beautiful quilts in the quilt show, they were amazing! I like the fabrics she uses and I like her patterns. All of her quilts are completely handsewn!

Magnolienquilt

Letztes Jahr im Hasenbach Challenge hatte ich angefangen Claudias Magnolienquilt zu nähen. Ich hatte mir ganz fest vorgenommen ihn bis zur diesjährigen Magnolienblüte fertig zu nähen. Ganz hab ich es nicht geschafft, aber das Topp ist fertig, und mir gefällt es ziemlich gut.
Last year, I started to sew Claudias magnolia quilt in the Hasenbach challenge. I planned to finish it when the magnolia would bloom this spring. I didn´t get it done completely, but the topp is finished, and I kind of like it a lot.

Monatsbericht April Hasenbach Challenge

Endlich ist der Frühling auch bei uns angekommen. Trotz der vielen Arbeit die wir alle jetzt im Garten haben, sind wieder ganz wunderschöne Blöcke genäht worden. Heute ist auch ein Finish dabei! Manu die letztes Jahr im Challenge mit genäht hat, hat Ihren Apfelquilt fertig gestellt, und den zeig ich euch gleich als Erstes!
Finally spring! Even though we all have a lot of work to do outside these days, a lot of beautiful blocks have been created. Today I can even show you a finish! Manu, who sewed with us in the last years challenge has finished her apple quilt, and I want to show you that one first.
